OverviewThe Ads Reporting Infrastructure team builds and operates foundational systems that collect, enrich, and deliver ads‑related events at scale. These systems transform raw signals from client devices, servers, and third‑party integrations into clean, reliable, privacy‑safe data streams that support measurement, serving, reporting, and financial workflows. The team is part of Netflix’s Ads Platform Engineering, which manages the entire "Pitch to Pay" process for our ad‑supported tier.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain real‑time pipelines ingesting billions of ad events daily from client and server endpoints.Design low‑latency, highly available distributed systems that process and enrich event data.Implement monitoring, alerting, and auditing tooling to guarantee data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.Integrate with programmatic advertising technologies such as SSPs, DSPs, and ad servers.Work with data platforms (e.g., Apache Druid) to expose real‑time analytics APIs.QualificationsExperience with real‑time systems and building large‑scale, low‑latency distributed pipelines.Proficient in a JVM‑based language or C++ and comfortable with modern API development.Deep knowledge of one or more stream‑processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Flink) and real‑time event processing systems.Experience with distributed caching and event‑driven or streaming data pipelines.Understanding of programmatic advertising, ad‑tech landscape, and digital marketing trends.Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.Must‑haves: familiarity with pacing and budgeting teams at large advertising companies.Nice to HaveExperience with Apache Flink or similar streaming frameworks.Experience building event ingestion pipelines or working with large‑scale event streams (millions+ events per second).Experience with ad‑infrastructure components such as ad serving, pacing, budgeting, measurement, or attribution.Experience in ad‑serving teams (DSP or SSP).CompensationThe role offers an annual salary range of $388,000.00 – $619,000.00.
