Experienced Full-Time Veterinary Technician/Assistant Forest Hill Animal Hospital is seeking a responsible and outgoing individual who loves working with dogs and cats to join our technician team. Job Description: Prep and assist in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures. Operate and maintain hospital equipment such as IV pumps, EKG, scales, laboratory machines, and anesthetic monitors. Assist the veterinarian in anesthetizing animals and monitoring them during surgeries. Properly restrain and handle animals of all sizes and temperaments. Interact with clients and animals while collecting medical information. Ensure a clean and sanitary surgery area and equipment. Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments in a calm and professional manner. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and stand on your feet for extended periods (10-hour shifts) in a labor-intensive environment.
