Maintenance Technician
This position is for a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, dozers, and compactors used in waste management operations.Key duties include troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems, repairing engines and drivetrains, and conducting safety inspections.The role involves both shop and field support, responding to breakdowns, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring equipment safety and compliance with OSHA and DOT standards.Qualifications include at least 2 years of heavy equipment or industrial machinery maintenance experience, strong mechanical knowledge, ability to read manuals and schematics, and safety awareness. A high school diploma or GED is preferred; a valid driver’s license is advantageous.The work environment is hands-on, outdoors, and may require evening, weekend, or on-call hours.
