Patent Prosecution Paralegal Texas - Flexible Location (Hybrid Dallas | Fully Remote in Austin or Houston) Full-Time LHH is partnering with a highly regarded law firm to identify a Patent Prosecution Paralegal to join its growing intellectual property team. Salary: Experienced IP Paralegal: High $80Ks+ (flexible for top candidates) Strong paralegals transitioning into IP: $65,000 - $70,000 Remote Flexibility: Fully remote (Austin/Houston) or hybrid (Dallas) No formal billable requirement Bonus: Discretionary, performance-based year-end bonus Flexible schedules (7:30-4:30 or 9:00-6:00) Established remote workforce with strong communication and team connectivity What You'll Do Support attorneys and clients across the full patent prosecution lifecycle Prepare, proofread, and finalize patent filings with the USPTO Manage electronic filings and coordinate with third-party vendors (drawings, foreign filings, certified copies) Track deadlines, maintain dockets, and partner closely with docketing teams Prepare IDS submissions and assist with office action responses Manage patent portfolios, including status tracking and reporting Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders on case updates and next steps What You Bring 3+ years of patent prosecution experience preferred OR strong paralegal experience in another practice area with demonstrated stability and interest in IP (training provided) Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills (critical to success) Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal systems (PerfectLaw or similar a plus) Strong communication skills and professional presence Culture Snapshot Team-oriented, collaborative, and highly supportive environment Known for strong tenure and long-term employee retention High expectations balanced with mutual respect and accountability Open communication across attorneys and staff "No-drama" culture that values professionalism and teamwork Additional Details Overtime available during peak periods but generally minimized Opportunity to grow long-term within a specialized and in-demand practice area Exposure to a technically complex and rewarding area of law (IP/patent prosecution) If you're looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with flexibility, strong leadership, and a respected IP practice, LHH would love to connect with you.
