Job DescriptionJob Summary:Primary ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Midwest Manufacturing General Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator provides exceptional Human Resources support to Midwest Manufacturing Team Members. He/she oversees all HR functions at the site and serves as the main contact for all HR related issues/questions. The HR Coordinator provides guidance by performing the following duties: Recruiting:Coordinate recruiting efforts for all open positionsPost positions online and in newspapersAttend area job fairs to recruit college graduates and internsMaintain applicant information using various applicant tracking systemsFilter resumes and send qualified applications to hiring managers Selection:Provide insight to Hiring Managers during candidate selection processPerform employment verifications, reference checks, and background checks for selected candidatesSend out rejection letters to all candidates who interviewed for positions and were not selectedCompile requests to offer positions to candidates, including résumés, interview notes, etc.Assist in calculating and writing offers of employment for various positions, as neededObtain necessary approvals before offer of employment is given Interviewing:Phone interview potential candidates, at the request of the hiring managerSchedule interview times, travel arrangements, etc. for candidatesMonitor interview questions for legality and professionalism Orientations:Conduct orientations for all new hiresKeep all orientation material currentCommunicate wage, benefits, and other pertinent information to new hiresAssemble training schedules for new hires Drug TestingCoordinates all types of drug testing 360° Performance Evaluations:He/she assists with the 360° evaluation process.Assist Site Manager or HR Manager with action plans for 9-block Values and Performance Rankings and Ratings for all managers surveyed Benefits:Keep current on all benefit changes and updates to current policies and proceduresAssist with interpreting and communicating all benefit changes to Team MembersOtherResearch and remain abreast of latest Human Resources issues and trendsProcess and oversee unemployment claimsTrack any post secondary education for all current Team Member’sScan all payroll paperwork and upload into the Team Member’s personnel fileKeep a wage survey of area competitorsInterview Managers to discuss their future goals with the company.Other tasks as assigned by the supervisorSkills/RequirementsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent, preferredExcellent management skills; interpersonal skills; organizational skills; and verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of modern methods and techniques in human resources administrationAble to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Managers and Team MembersExcellent analytical skills for problem determination and resolutionAbility to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work independently as well as cooperate with othersKnowledge of related laws such as (but not limited to) Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Labor Relations and Civil Rights, Workers Compensation LawPrevious HR experience preferred
