Massillon Container Company/Vail Industries is seeking Manufacturing Workers for our full-time 1st shift at our Navarre, OH production facility. We have varying positions available on our tyear-round regulat first shift. You can count on your shift running M - F, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm year round shift (our last layoff was over 26 years ago). Voluntary overtime is available, but infrequently mandated.
Our ideal candidates are safety and quality minded and motivated individuals consistemtly report to work on time, with very infrequent call offs or attendance issues. Our employees perform a variety of functions in a flexible, diverse, fast-paced production environment. General responsibilities include running machines, assisting press and other machine operators, and completing finishing tasks for our custom corrugated packaging solutions. Specific Responsibilities
Run or assist on machines involved in the manufacture and finishing of custom corrugated packing solutions
Feed board into presses, glue machines and other production/shipping equipment
Gathhhher together and remove finished corrugated pieces from presses and other production related machines and create bundles, counts and unit amounts to build pallets of finished packaging products according to production specifications/work orders and verbal interaction with the Operator
Gather and properly condense and dispose of scrap material.
Stack material onto pallets for shipment.
Affix shipping labels on finished bundles per work order specifications
Load materials onto conveyors
Deliver raw product/collect finished goods to and from work stations and store finished goods in warehouse or transportation areas as directed
Enter data on daily time sheet.
Clean equipment and work areas and keep work areas free of debris

Lift and or push up to 75 to 100 pounds in the machine production and shipping areas
Able to be Tow Motor certified

The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly throughout the shift
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to hot and cold temperatures, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. This position requires the ability to see and hear and also requires continuous standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and occasionally climbing during the shift. Continuously lifting, pushing and/or otherwise moving 50 to 100 pounds items is also a requirement.
