Boys Junior Varsity Ice Hockey Assistant Coach

Boys Junior Varsity Ice Hockey Assistant Coach | Adjunct Opening Northfield Mount Hermon, an independent co-educational boarding school in Western Massachusetts, seeks an energetic and passionate coach to assist the Boys’ Junior Varsity Ice Hockey program. The position will work with the Head coach to assist in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to helping run practices, building skills, and participating in interscholastic competitions. The position starts in December 2024. Candidates should have experience practicing and/or coaching ice hockey, have an understanding of high school athletes' development through adolescence, and be able to work collaboratively. The position will instruct players on the rules, regulations, equipment, as well as technical aspects of the sport. Additional qualifications include strong listening skills, highly developed interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work with colleagues. Candidates must be familiar with boarding school life and work; demonstrate experience in equity and inclusion work that promotes a diverse community environment as well as a clear understanding of anti-bias education.
