Job Description
The Supply Chain Planner will be responsible for planning products, components and raw materials which support forecast needs based on the production schedules and customer requirements. This role will analyze, manage, and adjust inventory targets, reorder points, and ERP master data as assigned. The Planner is accountable for inventory levels for the materials managed while supporting company goals for on-time delivery.
This position is a hybrid role expected to be on-site three days per week.
Generate production plan for work centers as assigned by management; monitor and communicate performance against established plan
Analyze, adjust, and optimize assigned product and component inventory levels to coincide with manufacturing demand and lead time changes while meeting business objectives
Optimize production plan through analysis of attributes such as batch size, setup, and QC costs
Track assigned materials to meet quality, delivery and supply chain objectives
Communicate and escalate supply shortfalls and delays and support mitigation to meet customer demand
Contribute to the monthly SIOP process through presentations and data submissions
Analyze effectiveness of ERP Master Data associated with planned materials; adjust data as appropriate
Support new product development from part loading through inventory position
Maintain the integrity of MRP parameters (lot/order size, lead time, and safety stock)
Review and analyze slow moving or obsolete inventory for disposition
Conscientiously learn and diligently follow the requirements of the site’s quality management system
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study (supply chain management, operations/production management, or related field) – or equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable work experience.
Exposure to supply chain planning, preferably within a manufacturing organization is required.
Prior experience with ERP/MRP systems and Master Data is required.
Prior experience with analysis and reporting of data and key performance indicators (KPI’s) is required.
Experience working with information technology including database software.
Life science industry experience within a supply chain planning role is preferred
Prior experience using and maintaining ERP/MRP systems and Master Data is preferred.
Professional certification such as APICS is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to navigate ERP Systems for work orders, transactions, and producing daily, weekly, and monthly reports using provided computer systems.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
