A certified teacher for this role is someone who understands curriculum implementation and Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions. The Instructional Support Services Teacher must also be a good listener, flexible, and committed to the vision that every child can succeed.POSITION OBJECTIVE: To support the principal as the instructional leader of the building, the Instructional Support Services Teacher will help to manage the following:PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate MTSS efforts (create monthly agendas for grade level meetings, schedule individual student intervention meetings, create substitute teacher schedules, gather academic data from multiple sources for principal review, and monitor the MTSS platform to ensure interventions are being delivered with fidelity)Assess the professional development needs of the school and work to coordinate professional development efforts with the school principal and department directorsAttend monthly meetings with district department directors to monitor the effectiveness of the positionOrganize all before and after school activities/clubsManage transportation - Buses (communication with the bus company and families, resolve minor disciplinary issues, and develop bus behavior incentive programsLunchroom (procedures, seating arrangements, training of students and staff, monitor the operation of daily lunch periods, and develop lunchroom behavior incentive programs)Perform other related duties as assigned by the building principalPROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Creates a culture of positivity and learning for all staff & studentsOther than for serious and/or extended illness, does not exhibit excessive or patterns of absences exceeding yearly sick leave allotmentReports for work day, meetings, and other time commitments in a punctual mannerShows initiative in obtaining knowledge in assigned areas within the districtEVALUATION: In accordance with District Policy and Administrative ProceduresSALARY: Based on training and experience in accordance with the Agreementbetween Indian Springs School District #109 and Indian Springs Council,Local 571 of the IFT/AFT
