Job Description
PRIMARY PURPOSE:Responsible for maintenance and repairs of district electrical systemsQUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accreditedMust have valid State of Texas Journeyman Electrician LicenseAbility to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications and technical Five years' commercial experience required.Five years' electrical maintenance experience requiredMust have valid Texas Driver's License and have a satisfactory driving recordGood interpersonal and verbal communication skillsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:Must be physically able to operate a motor vehicle with or without reasonable accommodationMust be able to work at heights up to 50 feet with or without reasonable accommodationMust be able to work under limited supervisionResponsible for installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems for AISD facilitiesMaintains assigned vehicle, equipment, and tools to ensure safe operating conditionCoordinates with Electrical Foremen and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work ordersInspects electrical systems and their components for the purpose of evaluating conditionIdentify necessary repairs and recommend preventive maintenanceInforms personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisionsOther duties as assignedEquipment Used:All of the following associated with the electrical trade, but not limited to: power tools i.e.; drill saws, hammer drills, pneumatic and electric man lifts, scaffold ladders, basic hand tools, electronic test equipment, trenchers.Environment:Will work in, under, around, outside of all AISD facilitiesWork will be done within AISD zone concepts.Employee will be exposed to all atmosphere found in this region of Texas.Working in trenches may be required.Job Duties:Maintain all AISD zone concepts.
