Are you an AI & Data Engineering expert who thrives on structuring complex engineering knowledge, building intelligent data frameworks, and applying AI platforms such as RapidMiner to unlock insights from complex engineering data?We’re helping our Defence client find someone exactly like you - someone who can bridge AI, engineering data, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and RapidMiner to unlock the value hidden inside complex engineering programmes.You’ll play a critical role ensuring engineering knowledge is captured, structured, and usable from the earliest stages of development, rather than being reconstructed after the fact. The work sits at the intersection of AI automation, lifecycle engineering data, and secure compliance frameworks within a portfolio of 100+ complex defence-aligned engineering programmes.Your Role as an AI & Data Engineering Expert:You'll design intelligent frameworks that transform fragmented engineering artefacts into structured, reusable, and traceable datasets across the full product lifecycle.You’ll combine AI methodologies, MBSE environments, RapidMiner-driven analytics, and advanced data engineering techniques to ensure engineering knowledge flows seamlessly across requirements, system models, validation artefacts, and configuration data - enabling traceability, governance, and lifecycle intelligence within defence-grade compliance environments.What You’ll Do:Design and implement AI-supported data extraction frameworks that structure complex engineering data across development workflows.Analyse engineering artefacts including requirements, system models, validation outputs, interfaces, and configuration data, transforming them into structured and traceable datasets.Integrate AI methodologies and automation to support knowledge capture, lifecycle intelligence, and engineering data governance.Support MBSE data integration, ensuring alignment between system models, requirements repositories, and structured engineering data environments.Develop repeatable engineering data pipelines and governance frameworks that enable consistent lifecycle data usage across programmes.Apply tools such as RapidMiner and AI-driven analytics platforms to automate engineering data extraction, transformation, and structuring.Enable traceability across engineering models, validation artefacts, and lifecycle documentation within secure, regulated environments.Collaborate with systems engineers, MBSE architects, project leads, and compliance stakeholders to align data strategy with operational and regulatory requirements.Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and engineering data strategies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.What You Bring:Hands-on experience with RapidMiner for data modelling, automation, and analytics.Proven experience applying AI-supported data extraction, analytics, or automation within engineering or industrial environments.Experience structuring, analysing, and governing complex engineering data across development programmes.Background working in regulated industries such as defence, aerospace, energy, or safety-critical engineering.Experience implementing knowledge management systems, structured data repositories, or lifecycle traceability frameworks.Ability to operate within high-security, compliance-driven environments.Strong communication skills and the ability to act as a technical authority across multidisciplinary teams.Nice to Have:Experience with SysML, Cameo, Capella, DOORS, or similar MBSE tooling.Exposure to defence architecture frameworks or safety certification standards.Experience building ontology-based models, knowledge graphs, or AI-driven documentation automation.Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and system lifecycle processes.Familiarity with enterprise AI governance and secure AI deployment environments.Why Join the Remobi community:Fully remote, b2b/freelance contractsCollaborate with world-class talent across Europe’s most exciting sectorsRemobi community access with curated content, role alerts, and networkingIf you’re passionate about engineering data intelligence, RapidMiner-powered AI, and enabling complex defence engineering programmes through structured data - we want to hear from you.👉 Apply today and help transform the future of engineering through AI.
