They will assist with the buying, selling, hedging, and logistics of grain commodities.Essential Job DutiesAdhere to Encompass Grain’s risk policyRegularly monitor commodity balances and trends at all Encompass Grain locationsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with farmers and processorsOriginate bushels while continually seeking opportunities to expand our origination draw area and market presenceReview market information to enhance knowledge and understanding of grain marketsAssist with the coordination of transportation of grain via truck or railGain a complete understanding of customer status in Agris in order to determine accurate contract balances and applicationsOther ResponsibilitiesMaintain a high level of customer service with a positive and respectful attitudeAssist in bid sheet distribution and website updatesContribute to grain accounting team processesMust be able to work extended hours, primarily during the harvest seasonQualificationsNormally requires 2-3 years of industry experienceMust be able to regularly call customers and comfortably build relationships with themMust have good personal and communication skills, in addition to organization and attention to detailMust have and maintain a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving recordPhysical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, or stoopIn addition to competitive pay, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being of our employees.
