SAMEDepartment: DesignPosition: Product Development Mgr.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Management:● Manage Creative Team on target dates, deadlines, and overall processes seasonally per TNA Calendar● Flexible scheduling that keeps you available to internal & external partners within the Creative Team● Initiate & Organize collection review after 1st proto sample stageTechnical Design Collaboration:● Collaborate with external Technical Designer in executing T/Ps for all new development seasonally & comments sent for adjustments onproto & SMS.● Attend all sample fittings for development seasons to ensure accuracy of body execution & trims.● Develop and improve the SAME fit (and finishes), along with Technical Designer, bringing increased value to all garmentsProduct Development:● Manage T&A calendar to keep factories on target for all development dates● Follow-up with supplier questions daily to ensure timely and efficient development● Manage and own the overall product development process from planning to submissions (i.e. lab dips, print strike-offs, protosamples, up to final salesman SMS duplicates) that meet TNA calendar● Maintain all vendor catalogues seasonally for lab dip & print strike off approvals● Main point of contact for all vendors pertaining to development● Oversee every aspect of product development bringing great value to products throughout the brand's mission, design andquality.● Lead for creation & management of WIPs for internal team review on status updates● Lead for managing the creation, update & edit of all visual line lists seasonally, including any capsules, exclusives,collaborations, or special projects across all brand categories● 100% responsible for bringing in final sample collection duplicates in-house on time● Initiate & Organize collection review with Wholesale, Ecomm & Production Teams upon SMS in house● Knowledge of premium fabrics and new textile innovations, working closely with factories and internal Supply Chain leadership● Liaise with Production for initial costing of new development before pushing into salesman sample● Liaise with Ecomm & Wholesale Departments to identify product needs in terms of the line size, commercial market needs andproduct delivery schedules as well as product sales performance.● Explore and experiment with new vendors for projected categories ahead of launch calendars.● Build a strong relationship with key strategic business partners; suppliers and garment vendors.Team Management :● Setting goals and providing feedback and guidance to increase both individual and team productivity.● Champion processes, constantly improving, tweaking and building upon the current process within the Design DepartmentRequirements:● Bachelor’s degree or above in fashion Design / Product Development● Be the true embodiment of a team player● Able to work at a fast pace and think and react quickly with the ever changing environment● Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in product development ,at least 1-2 years in managerial level a plus.● Apparel experience with a strong background in different areas (cut&sew, knits, RTW, Swim, Accessories)● Strong communication and presentation skills● Good technical sense on fabric, material, fitting development● Hands on experience in Adobe illustrator, G-Suite, Microsoft OfficeCompensation● $80k / DOE
