This is a fantastic opportunity to teach clinical at well-known, established hospitals and medical facilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Accept complete responsibility for students in the clinical facilityTeach a course load as assigned, including preparation for and instruction of clinical laboratoryPlan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learningClarify daily clinical expectations with students during pre-conferenceClarify student placement and expectations with clinical facility staffMake patient/student assignments that meet both clinical objectives and patient needsDirect students in data collection and integration into their clinical paperwork; provide resources to students to ensure critical thinking through the nursing processCoordinate a daily plan with Clinical site to best observe, instruct, and evaluate studentsDirect post conference to ensure application of theoretical content to clinical experiences; provide opportunities for students to share learned experiences and verbalize feelingsEvaluate student progress and give feedback weekly; provide clear objectives for improvement as neededProvide immediate feedback of clinical performance following observation of skillsLAB INSTRUCTION:The instructor will oversee and facilitate laboratory sessions for students in the lab. This role involves providing hands-on instruction, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and fostering a supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and inquiry.Requirements:Registered or Licensed Vocational Nurse - current active license in the state of CaliforniaPrevious teaching experience, preferred but not requiredExcellent written and oral communication skills and analytical skillsFunctional abilities to carry out classroom, clinical and laboratory teaching responsibilitiesCompetence in clinical skills in areas of teachingCompetent in personal computer applications: word processing, spreadsheet, database, and emailEducation:LVN with AA or AS degree + 6 years experience required or a BA or BS with 2 years experience required (any type of degree)Sat & Sun AM or PM16 hoursMust be able to start immediatelyTravel is requiredLVN $45
