Wilhelm und Werner Brasserie, the culinary destination inside The Faust Hotel, is seeking a disciplined and detail-oriented Prep Cook to support our refined kitchen operations. In a luxury restaurant, preparation is the foundation of perfection — and this role is essential to delivering a seamless, elevated dining experience. Compensation: $15.00 hourly Position Overview The Prep Cook is responsible for executing daily mise en place with precision, organization, and care. Working alongside our culinary leadership, this role ensures that every ingredient is prepared to exacting standards, enabling flawless execution during service. This position is ideal for a culinary professional who values structure, craftsmanship, and consistency. Key Responsibilities Prepare ingredients according to established recipes and specifications Execute knife work, portioning, and basic cooking techniques with precision Maintain organized and immaculately clean prep stations Properly label, date, and store all products according to food safety standards Assist line cooks and chefs with daily kitchen preparation needs Support inventory rotation and waste control procedures Uphold strict sanitation and health compliance standards Contribute to a disciplined, team-focused kitchen culture Qualifications Previous kitchen or prep experience preferred; fine dining experience a plus Strong foundational knife skills and understanding of culinary techniques Ability to work efficiently in a structured, high-standard environment Exceptional attention to detail and consistency Reliable, professional, and team-oriented Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed At Wilhelm und Werner, refinement starts at the prep table.
