Sr. Supply Chain Manager

POSITION SUMMARY This role will plan, develop, optimize, organize, direct, manage, evaluate, account for and/or be responsible for the supply chain processes of the Straumann Group Mansfield organization and globally regarding common materials needed by multiple manufacturing sites. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Lead and manage production planning, customer service purchasing, inventory control, forecasting, warehousing, transportation, and other areas as required. Direct hiring, training, supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations of supply chain staff. Optimize global material supply chain through analysis of supplier options, supplier contracts, and SLA’s. Develop analytics, systems, and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports. Direct, coordinates, assigns, monitors and reviews the work of individuals engaged in supply chain related duties. Understands customers’ needs, services those needs, and maintains and develops positive business relationships with a customer’s. Collaborate with staff, other departments, senior management, and decision makers to share information, problem solve, and to clarify management objectives. Oversee organization wide management of strategic sourcing, procurement, contracting, and evaluation of services. Manages and coordinates the sales and operations planning process including supply and demand forecasting, inventory management, and on time delivery. Develop annual plans with prioritization and resourcing. Develop and/or participate in the development of the supply chain strategy for the organization Manage and/or execute procurement-related functions (e.g., develop and implement contract management and procurement frameworks, sourcing strategies, negotiating agreements, draft and managing contracts) Direct and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES This position manages the following positions on a daily basis. 6-7 people within supply chain, production planning, inventory control, and customer service WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Operate machinery with moving parts. May occasionally be exposed to dust. Based on station assignments, the employee may be exposed to water, heat, cured resins, soap and disinfectants. The noise level in the work environment is consistently moderate. PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES (If Applicable) Observe and hear warning signs and signals within all areas of the company. Stand, walk, or sit up to 8 hours a day, with periodic breaks allowed. Occasionally push/pull up to 50lb. and lift up to 40lb. Wear synthetic gloves for hygiene. Wear protective eyeglasses. Wear protective hearing. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain Management PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Relevant management and leadership experience in a global supply chain-based environment. SAP experience.
