Scientist - II (Associate)

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Scientist - II (Associate) for an Onsite position with a Global Pharmaceutical Company located in Elkhorn, NE. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including Research & Development, Production, and Quality Control to qualify new reference standards in an Animal Health laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will utilize their experience with cell culture, aseptic techniques, and immunological assays to support program initiatives and maintain compliance with USDA guidelines.Responsibilities:Participate and collaborate in cross-functional teams with colleagues in Research & Development, Production, Quality Control, and Regulatory Affairs to qualify new reference standardsMaintain compliance according to USDA guidelines for reference standards and in vitro potency testsPrepare and test small-scale vaccines to support formulation of new reference standardsSupport the formulation, dispense and testing of new reference standards as part of the reference qualification processAssist in the routine maintenance and management of reference standards, including in vitro stability testingConduct clinical sample testing in support of the qualification of new reference standardsAssist in the preparation of data packages, protocols or reports for submission to USDAProvide technical support for approved Quality Control assaysSupport local, regional, and global program initiatives as assignedRequirements:B.S. or M.S. degree in a relevant Biological area (Bacteriology, Biology, Microbiology, Virology)1-3 years laboratory experience, preferably in Animal Health/Industry, including mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique, immunological assay platforms (ELISA, serum neutralization), and/or cell-based potency and functional in vitro assaysAbility to conduct scientific experiments, compile data and interpret results, and communicate with relevant team members and stakeholdersDetail-oriented with good documentation skillsEffective written and oral communication skillsetExperience with Microsoft Office programs: Excel, PowerPoint, and WordDesired skills:Ability to independently design scientific experimentsExperience working in an R&D or Quality Control laboratoryExperience developing, executing, and troubleshooting in vitro analytical methodsProficient at data compilation, visualization, and interpretation of trendsKnowledgeable of USDA regulations for veterinary biological productsPay range: up to $36.83 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, apply today!Aptask Global Workforce (AGW)ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is a certified Minority and Veteran workforce solutions company.
