Manufacturing Production Supervisor (2nd shift)
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor to lead several departments. The ideal candidate will be hard working, dedicated and reliable. The position will oversee 20+ employees and require excellent communication and follow up skills. This is a hands-on position in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Previous supervisory experience required.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plans, organizes and controls a team to meet production schedules
Maintains safe working conditions, safe work practices and good housekeeping in area of responsibility
Improves methods and processes to improve productivity, reduce costs and improve quality
Trains, develops, instructs, motivates employees to achieve maximum efficiency
Understands all applicable company policies, standards and procedures and communicates to ensure compliance by all employees in area of responsibility
Recognizes and disciplines employees according to established procedures
Understands bottlenecks that limit production and take necessary corrective action
Insures flow of materials to meet production needs
EXPERTISE REQUIRED:
Bilingual – English and Spanish (Preferred, but not require)
At least 3 years demonstrating leadership to hourly employees in an assembly line production environment.
Initiative and competence to anticipate and respond to issues along with the ability to identify and implement changes as needed.
Lean Manufacturing experience
Excellent communication skills, personal accountability and a strong sense of urgency
Ability to train employees effectively
Proactive versus reactive approach
Leads by example
Strong analytical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with co-workers at all levels of the organization
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
