Senior Product Line Manager – Engines

KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! The Senior Product Line Manager – Engines is responsible for leading the strategy, performance, and execution of the engine component portfolio. This role oversees key areas of the business, including acquisitions, repairs, inventory management, and commercial strategy, with a focus on maximizing asset value and profitability.This position also provides leadership to Product Line Representatives, guiding decision-making through market insights and customer demand. It is a high-impact role that plays a critical part in driving overall business performance and supporting long-term growth within the aviation aftermarket.Remote work may be considered for candidates with the appropriate experience who are located outside the Phoenix area.Your role will take you to new heights, as you will be tasked with these essential job responsibilities:Own the Product Line: Manage the full lifecycle of (XYZ) engine component assets—from acquisition and teardown through repair, inventory, and financial performance. Drive Financial Performance: Support underwriting activities, ensuring investments meet ROI/IRR targets and deliver gross margin and EBITDA objectives. Lead Strategy & Pricing: Develop market-aligned pricing strategies for modules and piece parts to maximize profitability and support growth. Guide Investment Decisions: Evaluate engines, modules, and material packages, making high-value decisions based on market data and technical insight. Optimize Teardown & Repair Execution: Oversee workscope development, vendor selection, and material routing to maximize yield, reduce cost, and improve turnaround time. Align with Sales: Partner with Sales leadership to support customer strategy, demand trends, and key package opportunities. Build Market Intelligence: Maintain deep insight into platform dynamics, including repair costs, market trends, and supply/demand conditions. Develop Relationships: Negotiate with MROs, suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers to secure favorable commercial terms and strategic opportunities. Shape Inventory Strategy: Drive inventory turnover, reduce aging stock, and contribute to building a sustainable asset pipeline aligned with long-term growth. Lead & Develop Talent: Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, technical expertise, and commercial awareness. Represent the Business: Act as a senior representative at industry events, customer engagements, and technical discussions to strengthen market presence.Perform other senior-level responsibilities as assigned by management.To succeed in this role, you will need to have:Deep expertise in (XYZ) engine platforms and the commercial aviation aftermarket. Strong financial acumen, including underwriting, teardown economics, and ROI/IRR-driven decision-making. Proven experience managing engine lifecycle activities (acquisition, teardown, repair, and resale). Advanced understanding of engine records, LLP trace, AD/SB compliance, and shop visit strategy. Track record of negotiating with MROs, suppliers, and customers to drive value. Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced, asset-driven environment. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive audiences.
