Programmer Analyst
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Programmer/Analyst has advanced proficiency in programming, database knowledge and concepts. They can create interface screens to collect data or populate a form, test the input for accuracy, and update the core system. The Programmer/Analyst will complete tasks with a high level of accomplishment and collaboration involving management, staff and vendor support when necessary. Also responsible for code documentation and processes to enable the ease of future modifications and troubleshooting.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient at reading/writing RPG (RPG III, RPG IV, RPG Free) programming for the IBM iSeries or AS/400
Proficient in SQL queries for extracting data from DB2 or MySQL
Experience with a scripting language such as PHP, Ruby, or Javascript
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High level understanding of manufacturing and/or financial business processes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and modify existing software using RPG.
Provides programming support for various interfaces.
Implement new software projects using the appropriate programming language.
Analyze requests for programming, write functional and technical specifications to accommodate requested needs, and make necessary changes to program code to accomplish desired results.
Thoroughly test all program changes.
Provide functional and technical documentation internally and externally for review and maintenance.
Provide technical assistance to end users.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
