Division Controller (Portsmouth)
Position SummaryThe Division Controller provides support in budget preparation and expensemanagement activities, directs, oversees, and guides the daily accounting functions forspecific business units or facilities within the organization.Key Responsibilities Assists in cash collection activities, working with cash applications andcollections personnel. Executes internal controls and audits of policies and procedures in order topreserve the facility's assets and maintain SOX compliance at the operating levelwithin the Recycling Region. Conducts ad hoc analyses of the business & finances and prepares reports tofacilitate decision-making. Completes the preparation of financial statements and filings to ensurecompliance with company, state, and official rules and regulations. Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes tomaintain organization and efficiency within their assigned cost center. Plans, organizes, and guides projects to distribute work among employees. Assesses current accounting operations in order to determine recommendationsor solutions for improvement and implementation of new processes. Coordinates with account executives to streamline budget processing. Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary foraccurate accounting of consolidated business results. Manages and provides leadership to team members by effectivelycommunicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team memberson achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and developmentopportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieveteam and corporate results. Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge ofthe company, products, sales, and services, and performs any other dutiesneeded to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our corevalues. Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations,and laws regarding employment and employee safety.Education, Experience & QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance or another relatedfield, 5-7 years of business experience with increasing responsibilities, a demonstratedability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment, and be legally eligible towork in the US.
