Lead Developer

Overview In this role you will help build and maintain ICE’s state-of-the-art trading platform, working on high-performance, low-latency server components. You’ll collaborate with product managers, QA, and engineers to deliver a reliable, scalable infrastructure that supports global capital and derivatives markets. You will shape architectural decisions, optimize critical paths, and support deployments in production. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, maintain and support components of the ICE Trading PlatformAdhere to team quality guidelines during design and development phasesManage build and deployment activities independentlyCreate design documentation for new software developmentProvide production and deployment support during maintenance windowsIdentify opportunities to optimize applications and performanceCollaborate with business analysts/product management to understand requirementsFollow company software development processes and standards Key requirementsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field7+ years of C++ development experienceStrong understanding of modern C++ and STL (up to C++11/14/17)Experience with development of multithreaded applicationsExperience with low latency and high throughput systemsAptitude and interest in mathematics and financial marketsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environmentStrong interpersonal skillsTeam collaborationResults-orientedC++ (modern, including STL)Multithreaded application developmentLow latency and high throughput systems
