Pet Groomer

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services to our furry friends. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and well-being of our pets, ensuring they leave our facility feeling refreshed and looking their best. Duties - Clean and groom dogs, cats, and other small animals, including bathing, trimming, and styling - Provide gentle and professional animal handling and restraint - Maintain a clean and organized work and shop environment - Operate various grooming tools and equipment, such as clippers, scissors, and brushes - Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple pets at once - Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for pet care and grooming - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pet grooming techniques and standards - Stay current with industry developments and best practices in pet care and grooming - Perform heavy lifting and bending as necessary - Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive experience for pet owners and their pets Experience - Prior experience in pet grooming or a related field is highly desirable - Experience with dog training or handling is preferred - Experience with animal restraint and handling is essential - Familiarity with veterinary procedures and practices is a plus - Ability to lift and move animals safely and efficiently - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Skills - Strong knowledge of animal care and pet grooming techniques - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Ability to handle animals safely and humanely - Physical stamina and ability to lift and move animals - Familiarity with veterinary procedures and practices - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Basic understanding of animal behavior and psychology - Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment - Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $700.00 - $1,500.00 per week Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Health insurance Schedule: Day shift Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Experience: Pet grooming: 2 years (Preferred) Work Location: In person
