Art Gallery Director
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Curate and oversee the design and layout of the showroom gallery space to reflect the firm's design philosophy.
Collaborate with senior designers to create themed exhibitions that highlight featured products and design concepts.
Develop and implement a schedule of rotating exhibitions and displays.
Coordinate with design teams to plan and execute exhibitions, ensuring timely installations and removals.
Collaborate with internal and external artists to incorporate unique artworks into the showroom displays.
Source and select art pieces that complement the interior design products showcased in the gallery.
Engage with clients during showroom visits, providing insights into the curated exhibitions and design concepts.
Foster relationships with clients interested in art and design, offering a personalized gallery experience.
Manage inventory of artworks and design products featured in the gallery.
Coordinate logistics for artwork transportation, installations, and maintenance.
Plan and coordinate gallery events, including exhibition openings, artist talks, and client receptions.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote gallery events and attract a diverse audience.
Develop and manage the gallery budget, including expenses related to exhibitions, events, and art acquisitions.
Ensure cost-effective strategies for gallery operations.
Collaborate with the showroom director, senior designers, and sales teams to ensure alignment between gallery displays and product offerings.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to integrate gallery themes with overall showroom concepts.
Stay informed about art and design trends, attending relevant events and exhibitions.
Bring fresh and innovative ideas to continually enhance the gallery's visual appeal.
Qualifications:
Preferred bachelor's degree in Art History, Interior Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in curatorial roles, preferably within an interior design or art gallery setting.
Strong knowledge of art, design, and interior trends.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in event planning and coordination.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
