That’s why we hire leaders who take ownership, drive results, and maintain alignment between the office and the field on every project.Job SummaryThe Commercial Grain Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing commercial grain handling and feed facility construction projects from early planning through final completion and commissioning.This role oversees the full lifecycle of projects including pre-construction planning, estimating support, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, permitting, regulatory compliance, construction execution, and project closeout.The Project Manager coordinates multiple construction disciplines and serves as the link between office operations and field execution to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.Duties / ResponsibilitiesManage the full lifecycle of commercial grain and feed facility construction projectsLead pre-construction planning and support estimating effortsDevelop and maintain project schedules and sequencing plansOversee budgets, cost tracking, and financial performanceCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teamsEnsure compliance with safety standards and regulationsServe as primary contact for clients, engineers, and stakeholdersMaintain alignment between office and field executionIdentify and resolve project challenges proactivelyEnsure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to Summit standardsPerform other duties as assignedRequired Skills / AbilitiesStrong leadership and project ownership mindsetHigh level of organization and schedule managementBudget-conscious with strong cost control awarenessAbility to manage complex, multi-trade construction projectsStrong problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsExcellent communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to adapt in fast-paced environmentsSafety-focused mindsetEducation / ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED (required)Degree in Construction Management, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)7–10 years of relevant construction project management experienceExperience leading multi-trade construction projectsProficiency with Excel, Microsoft Project, and project management toolsOSHA 10 Certification (preferred)Experience in grain or feed facility construction (preferred)Physical RequirementsAbility to work in office and field environmentsAbility to travel to job sitesAbility to work extended hours (50–65 per week)Ability to safely operate in construction environmentsAbility to comply with PPE requirementsOur Benefits Package IncludesHealth, Dental, Vision, & Life InsuranceHealth Savings AccountPTO and Holiday Pay401(k) with Company MatchCompany Clothing AllowanceShort- and Long-Term DisabilityCell Phone StipendTravel Per DiemMonday–Friday Work ScheduleA company culture that is truly next to none!Our Core ValuesWe’ve Got Each Other’s Backs – First and foremost, we are a team.
