Collect data, analyze, and report findings.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesHelp improve instruction by engaging teachers in professional development and data analysis activitiesEvaluate student achievement and assist with placing students in appropriate intervention servicesObserve and coach classroom teachers in effective practicesDemonstrate lessons which incorporate effective teaching practices, student engagement, differentiated instruction, behavior management, etc.Provide sustained mentoring to classroom teachersSupport building level leadership teamsMeet regularly with supervisor to report on progress and action planMeet with individual or groups of teachers to plan instruction and/or solve specific instructional and assessment issues or problemsAnalyze students’ work with individuals or groups of teachers, and then brainstorm next steps for adjusting instructionModel and co-teach effective instruction for teachersProvide various forms of literacy and/or mathematics professional development for teachers and administrators (large group presentations at staff meetings and on PD/SIP Days to individualized coaching within classrooms) for language arts and/or mathematicsConnect staff with various forms of available professional development resourcesParticipate in district level committees during and outside of the regular school day QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties listed above. Arts certificationBroad knowledge of instructional strategies and behavior interventionsFive or more years of classroom experienceAccomplished in data analysisExcellent computer and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability in group facilitationExcellent writing and verbal communication skillsDocumented professional development above and beyond district/DESE requirementsAbility to work flexible schedulePerforms other duties as assigned.Successful completion of a background check by Human ResourcesPhysical DemandsExerts 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/orExerts 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/orProlonged periods of working on a computer.Sufficient vision to read printed material, see distant objects with clarity, and identify and distinguish objects.Sufficient hearing to hear conversations in person and on the telephone, and hear sounds clearly up to 20 feet.Ability to speak in an understandable voice with sufficient volume to be heard in normal conversation and on the telephone, and in addressing groups.Requires occasional or frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and reaching for extended periods of time.The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and is generally a hazard free environment.Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.Terms Of EmploymentYear: 10 Months plus 5 additional days before school starts and 5 additional days after school ends (paid via Extra Duty Contract).Salary: Range on the District Teacher Salary Schedule*Please note that this is a grant funded position, if the funds allocated for this position are eliminated, the position itself is also required to be eliminated*
