Job Description
Title: Quality Inspector Industry: Medical DeviceLocation: Franklin, Massachusetts Duration: 6 monthsResponsibilities:Perform inspections and functional testing of components, sub-assemblies, and finished devices in accordance with approved proceduresPrioritize workload and manage daily inspection activities with minimal supervisionMaintain inspection logs, worksheets, device history records, and other controlled documentationExecute material and SAP transactions as requiredComplete final labeling and packaging of finished goodsEnter QC inspection results into Excel and SAPEnsure Good Documentation Practices across all controlled recordsSupport archiving activities for digital storage of recordsReview quality, repair, inspection, and device history documentationApprove and release finished product for shipmentAdhere to FDA Quality System Regulations, ISO 13485, and company quality policiesMaintain compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including ISO 14001Report safety risks or potential violations as requiredEnsure personal ability to safely perform job dutiesRequirements:High school diploma or equivalent0–1 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or quality control inspectionAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and proceduresKnowledge of basic mechanical measurement tools; microscope experience preferredExperience working with medical devices and QSR/ISO standards is a plusComputer proficiency with data entry experience; Excel required, SAP preferredStrong communication skills; ability to escalate nonconformances appropriatelyAbility to collaborate effectively and maintain professional working relationshipsAdaptable with the ability to manage shifting prioritiesPhysical RequirementsVisual acuity of 20/25 or better (with or without correction)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 70 lbs with assistanceAbility to work overtime as neededReliable attendance and punctualityMay require extended standing and microscope workStandard controlled room environmentHourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by WorkGenius.
