Millwork Estimator
The Millwork Estimator is responsible for developing accurate cost estimates for architectural millwork and casework projects while enhancing and maintaining the company’s estimating software systems. This role combines deep knowledge of millwork fabrication and installation with strong technical skills in estimating automation, database management, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope of work for custom millwork and casework projects.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor, hardware, finishes, and subcontractor pricing.
Generate take-offs from digital plans using estimating or CAD software.
Analyze project requirements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assess risks.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and production staff to ensure estimate accuracy and constructability.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
Prepare and submit professional bid proposals and clarify scope during negotiations.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with reviewing contract drawings and specifications
Experience with the following computer programs (or similar): Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam Revu – (AutoCAD experience is a plus)
Role requires an organized individual with attention to detail
Role requires the ability to work as part of a team
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
