Our team includes six board-certified neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons, supported by more than 60 staff members across four office locations.We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and are seeking motivated individuals to join our growing team.General SummaryThe Patient Care Representative works in a customer service capacity, providing administrative and clerical support to patients, physicians, and staff within a fast-paced medical office environment. This role serves as an important liaison between patients and providers, helping ensure smooth office operations and an outstanding patient experience.ResponsibilitiesGreet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming mannerCheck patients in and out while obtaining required documentationVerify and accurately enter demographic and insurance informationSchedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointmentsObtain insurance authorizations and precertifications for imaging and servicesComplete medical record release requestsRecord, route, and return messages for physicians and clinical staffEnter, review, and submit charges for procedures and services dailyCollect co-payments and reconcile daily reports and deposits for accuracyMaintain patient records within electronic health record (EHR) systemsProvide general administrative and clerical support to assigned departmentsTravel to additional office locations as needed for coverage and supportEducation/Experience RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalentStrong customer service and communication skillsBasic computer proficiency and data entry skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentProfessional demeanor with excellent attendance and reliabilityPreferredPrevious medical office or healthcare experiencePrior experience scheduling appointments and obtaining authorizationsFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) systemsExperience with eClinicalWorks preferredFamiliarity with Windows operating systemTyping proficiency of 70+ WPM preferredFriendly, professional, and outgoing phone etiquetteStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and conciselyWhy Join Us?Join a respected specialty practice where your work directly supports patients receiving advanced spine and brain care.
