Program Asst/Data Specialist
Through our offices in Boston and Malden, ABCD\'s Housing andHomelessness Prevention Department supports people in their search andworks to prevent families from entering homelessness by providinghousing counseling. We provide information to help people navigate themaze of paperwork and procedures that come with subsidized housing. Key ResponsibilitiesServe as initial point-of-contact for customers and greets guestsentering the department. Assist programs in the organization ofcontracts, budgets, and files. Assist with coordinating and conductinghousing workshops, appointment scheduling, and following up with clientsregarding needed documentation for department programs. Answertelephones, take messages, forward calls. Respond promptly to emailinquiries for housing services. Prescreen calls, collect documents, andperform data entry for service referral and completion. Developknowledge of the department?s data management and data reporting needs.Ensure the utilization of appropriate client data collection andreporting systems as new programs are developed. Develop forms necessaryfor intake, tracking, follow-up, and reporting. Maintain time logs, maillogs, and client registers. Maintain the record system for reports,requests, and personnel information. Type, circulate, and mailcorrespondence. Order and distribute office supplies, keeping track ofoffice inventory. Assist with onboarding and training of new Housingstaff Refer customers to ABCD Departments and other social serviceagencies for additional services, as needed. Assist in conductingoutreach, scheduling information sessions, and providing general supportto the program, as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned fromtime to time. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise A Minimum of a high schooldiploma or equivalent and up to 12 months relevant experience required.Ability to be organized and process a high volume of client calls andemails. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and GoogleWorkspace. Ability to use technology to effectively perform job duties.Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diversesocial, economic and cultural backgrounds. Bilingual skills in Spanish,Haitian Creole, or Portuguese preferred. Expected Salary: \$36,527.40USD. Salary scales are set according to an explicit compensation policyand relevant market data. Due to funding restrictions and our strongfocus on internal parity, this salary is thoughtfully aligned with theduties expected for this role, and offers are firm.
