Custodian

2nd Shift - 4:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat, clean and safe, and keeps the grounds free of rubbish at all times. Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during the hours of building occupancy. Sweeps, vacuums classrooms daily. Dusts furniture and cleans chalkboards. Scrubs, hoses down, and disinfects toilet floors daily, and cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily. Washes all windows on both the inside and outside as assigned. Keeps all floors, including corridors, entries and stairwells, in a clean attractive condition and in a good state of preservation at all times. Reports needed repairs and damage (major or otherwise) to school property immediately. Moves furniture or equipment as required for various activities and as directed. Performs minor repair functions such as replacing light bulbs, securing pencil sharpeners, replacing chair glides etc.
