Position Summary As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with developmental disabilities to achieve their personal goals and maintain independence in their homes and communities. You will provide direct care, promote health and safety, support daily living activities, and encourage community involvement. Key Responsibilities Provide support with daily living activities such as hygiene, grooming, bathing, dressing, and meals. Implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress notes accurately. Assist with medication administration and health-related tasks as assigned. Promote community integration by accompanying individuals to recreational, social, and medical appointments. Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times. Encourage and support independence, choice, and self-advocacy. Communicate effectively with individuals, families, supervisors, and team members. Maintain a clean and safe environment in all settings. Follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record preferred. Ability to pass background checks and required training (CPR, First Aid, etc.). Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a compassionate approach. Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently or as part of a team. 1 on 1 experience is required.
