Ideal candidates will have one year of experience.$20,000 Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates.About the department:The noninvasive team at Sentara Martha Jefferson includes RN's, Cardiovascular Technicians, and Sonographers seeing an average of 7 patients a day both inpatient and outpatient. The Echocardiographer must live within a 30-minute drive of the hospital for call purposes.Hours: Monday - Friday, day shift, with call every 4th week to include the weekend. Either 7 to 330p or 8a to 430p.The noninvasive Echocardiographer performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.EducationHigh School Diploma or Equivalent requiredAssociates or bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology preferredGraduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines. CertificationBasic Life Support within 90 days of hireACLS within 90 days of hireAdult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire.
