On-Site Parts Counter Sales

Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionWe are looking for a dependable, customer-focused professional to join our on-site fleet support team. This position is based inside a Tidewater Fleet Supply parts room located within a municipal fleet services garage, supporting technicians and fleet personnel with their daily parts needs.The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in helping customers, and can balance customer service, inventory support, and problem-solving while helping keep critical fleet vehicles operating efficiently.ResponsibilitiesProvide exceptional customer service by assisting fleet technicians and personnel with their parts needs. Identify, source, and recommend parts using catalogs, vendor resources, and computer systems. Generate invoices and process customer requisitions accurately within the ERP system. Assist with receiving vendor shipments and entering receiving documents into the ERP system. Process buyouts and source non-stocked parts as needed. Respond promptly to in-person, phone, and email inquiries from fleet personnel. Maintain accurate inventory organization and ensure the parts room and counter area remain clean and professional. Build strong working relationships with fleet technicians, vendors, and teammates. Maintain current product knowledge to better support customer needs and improve service. Occasionally drive a company vehicle to pick up parts or supplies. Provide support during emergency situations, including occasional after-hours assistance when required.
