This strategic and compassionate leader will be responsible for a hybrid role that combines 50% direct psychiatric care with 50% executive leadership. The CMO will provide patient care in various settings, including a Psychiatric Emergency Department, Mental Health Outpatient Clinic, and Inpatient facility, for individuals with primary mental health or substance use needs. Key clinical duties include conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing psychotropic medications. On the leadership side, the role involves overseeing medical staff administration, leading quality improvement initiatives, and mentoring providers to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation. Candidates for this role must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in Psychiatry, be board-certified in Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, or Family Medicine, and be licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia. A valid DEA registration and CPI Advanced Skills are also required. The ideal candidate will have an MBA, MHA, MMM, or MPH, and 7-10 years of clinical experience with increasing administrative responsibility. The CMO will be expected to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, drive performance metrics, and enhance EHR workflows and data analytics.
