Lead Registered Nurse - Fort Worth, TX

Job Title : Lead Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty : Occupational Health Nursing Place of Work: Fort Worth, TX Site: Bureau of Engraving and Printing - Western Currency Facility (WCF) Location: 9000 Blue Mound Road, Fort Worth, TX 76131 Duration: 1 year contract with the possibility of 4 more optional extensions Start Date : September 1, 2026Pay Rate: $45 - $55/hr on W2 Shift Schedule: Day Shift (primary); Monday-Friday, 24/5 coverage model. Weekend coverage on as-needed basis. Shifts Needed Per Month: Full-time; approx. 20-22 day shifts per month License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in Fort Worth, Texas (any state license considered) Certifications : • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S) - REQUIRED for Lead Nurse • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) • NIOSH Spirometry Training Program (16 hours, every 5 years) • BLSEducation : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or graduate degree from an accredited nursing program required Experience: 5+ years of nursing experience; demonstrated management, supervisory, and occupational health experience preferred Special Skills: • Supervisory and team management skills • Data management and report preparation (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) • Audiometry and spirometry screening proficiency • Workers' compensation case management • Proficiency in Cority Occupational Health and Safety software and Microsoft Office SuiteCredentialing / Onboarding: 6 to 8 weeks Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects, operations, and services rendered at the BEP Health Unit • Supervise and provide guidance to staff and treatment nurses • Act as nurse case manager for workers' compensation cases • Provide occupational health services: audiometry, spirometry screenings, immunizations, and workers' compensation follow-up • Maintain data and prepare reports daily, weekly, monthly, and annually • Submit monthly reports to COR by the 10th of the following month; submit annual report by February 28th • Respond to emergencies as first responder (CPR/AED certified) • Assist Medical Director with monitoring local, state, and federal pandemic mailboxes; report urgent matters immediately • Provide health education articles (one per month, COR-approved) • Coordinate and staff the WCF Annual Health and Wellness Fair • Administer vaccinations (influenza, hepatitis B, tetanus, allergy injections, etc.) • Maintain complete, legible, and comprehensive medical records per HIPAA, Privacy Act, and OPM regulations • Wear professional medical attire at all times while within the facility • Work with web-based systems, medical software, Cority software, and Microsoft Office Suite
