Our client operates a full-service Warehouse and Distribution Center supplying goods and services to the convenience store industry.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Foster relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of servicesGenerate and place purchase orders to ensure product availability meets demandConduct market research and suggest appropriate pricing and promotional activitiesContinuously conduct market research such as reading trade magazines, attending trade shows, and shopping competitors in order to stay innovative within the C-Store Industry. Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trendsDetermine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product categoryAnalyze and determine the best course of action to rectify low sales (Discontinue, Substitute, or Replace)Managing the optimal portfolio of products, identifying gaps, and constant cleansing via SKU rationalization, to create value for our retail membersFacilitate quarterly meetings with vendors to review their products successCreating marketing strategies for new product and executing the project from concept to launchReview and analyze daily reports including, but not limited to out-of-stock, price increases, and pending PO’sProvide tactical level of operational support to Warehouse Department Heads Experience and Skills: 5 years Procurement experienceBachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related fieldStrong Category Management skillsExperience with data analysis and highly developed analytical skillsContract negotiation skillsAbility to collaborate with internal departments and external customers/clients to ensure the achievement of business objectivesAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritizeExperience with Microsoft Office and SAPEducational Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent work experience, knowledge, skillsAdditional Information:Number of Openings: 1Starting Date: Immediate
