Software Engineer - C#

(CPS) is an Information Technology consulting and staffing company offering a broad range of services aimed at helping our clients deliver high-quality, cost-effective systems.We are currently searching for a Software Engineer – C# to support our client in Tucson, AZ for a direct hire position. This is an on-site position, and the selected person will need to work on-site.All applicants applying for this job opening must have a active Secret Clearance.The Software Engineer will join a multidisciplinary engineering team supporting the development of advanced test, simulation, and mission-critical systems. This role will focus on designing, developing, and integrating object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ while working closely with hardware, systems, and test engineers. The ideal candidate will have experience developing software for complex engineering environments, troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces, and supporting the full software development lifecycleResponsibilities:Design, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in a Microsoft Windows environment.Develop software requirements, architectures, and hardware interface solutions for complex engineering systems.Troubleshoot software applications, hardware interfaces, and test equipment instrumentation issues.Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to support system integration, testing, and product development.Lead technical efforts, mentor junior engineers, and support software development best practices.Utilize Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies while maintaining software configuration control through Azure DevOps or GitHub.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.Active Secret Security Clearance (required).Strong experience developing object-oriented applications using C# and/or C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio.Experience with computer hardware interfaces and communication protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and RS-422.Knowledge of software architecture, UML modeling, and software development lifecycles.Experience with software configuration management tools such as Azure DevOps Server or GitHub.Commercial Programming Systems, Inc.
