We’re looking for a Post-Production Automation Engineer to be the most technically sophisticated person on our post team.💡 The RoleThis is a builder role — for someone genuinely excited about where AI and automation are taking Post-Production. You’ll own our automation and AI roadmap from day one, with the autonomy to identify problems and ship solutions without waiting to be asked. You are the product lead, the architect, and the builder — all in one.🎬 What You’ll Own🤖 Automation & AI EngineeringArchitect end-to-end automation across ingest, QC, editing, delivery, and archivalDeploy LLMs, generative video platforms, and intelligent metadata/tagging systemsDesign agent-based workflows that eliminate manual effortEvaluate emerging AI tooling and own build-vs-buy decisions🏗️ Systems Architecture & IntegrationOwn our Iconik MAM: custom actions, metadata schemas, transcoding, and API integrationsBuild REST API and webhook integrations across post tools and third-party platformsDevelop automation pipelines in n8n, Make, or Zapier — or go custom in Python/JSDesign for resilience: logging, error handling, alerting, and monitoring💻 Scripting & Tool DevelopmentWrite production-grade Python and JS/Node.js scripts across Adobe Creative SuiteBuild internal tools that give editors superpowers without exposing the complexityBuild and maintain Adobe CEP/UXP panels inside the tools editors already use🔬 R&D & Proactive ImprovementAudit the post pipeline for bottlenecks before the team surfaces themPrototype emerging tech — AI, ML, new codecs, cloud-native media workflowsOwn the Post-Production tooling roadmap with minimal oversight🤝 Collaboration & DocumentationTranslate Post-Production creative needs into precise technical requirementsAlign with core engineering on infrastructure, deployment, and architectureDocument every system thoroughly so the team can run it confidentlyServe as final escalation for complex technical issues the post team can’t resolve🧬 What We’re Looking For4–6+ years in post-production engineering or workflow automation — high-volume advertising or broadcast preferredStrong Python and/or JavaScript/Node.js — clean, production-grade codeProven REST API integration experience with solid edge-case handlingExpert-level Iconik MAM Experience Strongly PreferredHands-on with LLMs, generative AI, and orchestration tools (n8n, Make, Zapier or equivalent)Deep fluency in codecs, containers, color pipelines, and shared storage (e.g. LucidLink)Adobe Creative Suite scripting experience — CEP/UXP panel dev a strong plusWorking knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud and cloud-native media workflowsGenuine passion for post-production and excitement about transforming it with technology➕ Bonus PointsExperience with AI video generation tools (Runway, Veo, Sora) in productionBackground in high-volume performance advertising or broadcastMulti-step agentic pipeline design or large-scale workflow orchestrationOpen-source contributions in the media/post-production spaceExperience with data pipelines or BI tooling connected to production metadata✨ Benefits🩺 Health, Vision & Dental coverage🧳 Unlimited PTO💰 401(k) + Matching💗 Life Insurance🤒 Paid Sick Days👶 Paid Parental Leave
