Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health)

Schedule will be provided at start.Flexibility with shifts, hours, and days is required based on facility needs.Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a structured correctional healthcare setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards.This position is located within a correctional facility. Employees will work in a secure environment around incarcerated individuals.Essential Duties & Responsibilities(Duties are illustrative and may vary based on assignment.)Provide patient care as directed by medical providersAdminister medications and monitor medication compliancePerform treatments and assist with nurse and physician sick callSupport chronic care clinic managementConduct subjective and objective patient assessmentsCollect and document vital signs and clinical findings in a timely mannerCollect urine and other bodily fluid specimens as requiredRespond to medical emergencies, including providing CPR and emergency carePrepare patients for release or transfer by completing transfer/discharge summaries and ensuring medication orders are processedReview shift reports and ensure continuity of careAssist physicians with medical proceduresProvide patient education on health maintenance and disease preventionParticipate in quality assurance activities and required training Leadership & Support ResponsibilitiesProvide guidance and work direction to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)Serve as a clinical resource for healthcare staff as directed by the Nursing SupervisorServe as lead clinical authority on site in the absence of designated leadership (HCA, QIC, Medical Director, or Advanced Practice Provider)Assist with shift assignments and adjustments as neededParticipate in group programming and health and wellness activities Administrative ResponsibilitiesComplete required documentation and reportsAttend meetings and required training sessionsAssist with inventory and ordering of medical suppliesSupport ancillary staff to ensure patient care needs are metAdhere to professional conduct standards and all institutional policies Minimum QualificationsActive Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Ohio
