HIM Associate

We are seeking a detail-oriented Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist to support the integrity and completeness of patient health records. This role plays a key part in maintaining the legal medical record and helping ensure continuity of care, reimbursement support, regulatory compliance, and legal documentation standards.The HIM Specialist will be responsible for core health information management functions, including record analysis, deficiency and delinquency monitoring, registry maintenance, EMR/data integrity, and scanning/imaging processes. When assigned, this person may also assist with medical record retrieval, document preparation, scanning, indexing, and quality review of paper records.Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm ESTKey ResponsibilitiesMeet or exceed established productivity and quality standardsPerform record analysis and deficiency tracking activitiesSupport scanning, imaging, indexing, and quality review workflowsMonitor delinquent and deficient records for timely completionMaintain EMR and data integrity standardsAssist with DNFB/DNFC processesSupport registry maintenance, including areas such as birth registryHelp ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation standardsMaintain working knowledge of the content and location of documents within the legal medical recordPerform other duties as assignedHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredAt least one year of office experience, preferably in a healthcare environmentKnowledge of medical terminology preferredBasic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with cloud and web-based toolsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational and time-management abilitiesStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsProficiency with standard office equipment, including copier, phone, computer, printer, fax, and scannerTalentMatch®Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
