Purchasing Lead

Purchasing Manager | Northern Suburbs of Chicago (Hybrid)We’re partnering with a well-established, growing manufacturer in the food & beverage industry that’s looking to bring on a Purchasing Manager to support their operations across four production sites. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in direct materials procurement within food, CPG, or a related industry who enjoys balancing strategic sourcing with team leadership. You’ll play a critical role in supplier negotiations, contract management, and driving cost savings initiatives, while also leading and developing a purchasing team. The company is looking for a hands-on leader who can optimize spend, build sourcing strategies, and collaborate cross-functionally to support operations.Skills and Experience Required: Direct materials procurement experience within food, CPG, or a related industry Strong background in supplier negotiations, RFPs/bidding, and contract management Current management experience — ability to develop and manage a purchasing team Track record of driving cost savings, spend optimization, and sourcing strategyCompetitive compensation and benefits: Target Salary range: $125 - $135K base + bonus Competitive benefits Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite in the Northern Suburbs)
