Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Perry Nuclear, Davis Besse, and/or Beaver Valley Duration: 11+ months Pay Range: $85 - $100/hour depending on experience Per Diem: $178/day Target Start Date/Availability: ASAP We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support design and analysis efforts for commercial nuclear power plant modifications, upgrades, and new build related projects. This role involves working under the guidance of senior engineering staff while contributing to complex engineering solutions in a highly regulated environment. Responsibilities Perform electrical engineering design and analysis in support of plant modifications, upgrades, and capital projects Develop and review engineering calculations, evaluations, and technical documentation Prepare design deliverables including specifications, drawings, and modification packages Evaluate existing plant electrical systems and develop design solutions to improve safety, reliability, and performance Apply engineering principles related to power distribution, system protection, motor control, and electrical equipment Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop and implement design solutions Support engineering change processes and ensure design outputs meet project and regulatory requirements Interface with clients and project teams to define technical scope and resolve design issues Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning activities Participate in technical reviews, design verification, and quality assurance processes Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 4 years within a commercial nuclear power environment Experience supporting electrical design and analysis for plant modifications, upgrades, or new build projects Strong understanding of electrical systems including medium and low voltage power distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, and protective relaying Experience developing engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations Ability to read and develop one-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings Familiarity with industry codes and standards applicable to electrical design and construction Experience working within formal design control processes, configuration management, and quality programs Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams Preferred Experience Experience supporting both operating plant modifications and new nuclear development projects Familiarity with system level modifications impacting safety related or risk significant systems Experience with electrical system studies such as load flow, short circuit, or coordination studies Exposure to system testing, commissioning, or startup support Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain FootBridge is an equal opportunity employer committed to an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and respected.
