We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team.Job Title: Materials HandlerJob Location: Chaska, MNJob Description:Candidates must show stable work history2-3 years of solid experience in material handlingLocal CandidatesMust show material handling experiencePossible TTHDay shift- Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM, flexible schedule for required overtime before 8 AM. Saturdays 7 AM - 12 PM as neededResponsibilities:Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipmentChecks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods, and rejects unsatisfactory itemsPackages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipmentLifts heavy items and may operate a forkliftPrepares and maintains records of merchandise shippedReviews customer orders, examines, stocks, and distributes merchandise, products, and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers, or manufacturing linesManaging the non-inventory items stored for each business unit (moving, labeling, and updating holding lists)Manages storage requests for special projects/shipmentsWarehouse storage management and space allocationQualifications:Demonstrate mechanical aptitude including the ability to use hand toolsApplies general math skills including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionFamiliar with SAP inventory management a plusAbility to speak distinctly and see and hear clearlyAdhere to safety procedures consistent with the use of hand and power toolsBasic computer skillsFamiliar with SAP inventory management a plus, TEL will train them on this softwareForklift experience is preferred, but not required (will go through a certification through TEL)Physical Requirements:Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing.
