Job DetailsDescriptionEssential Functions: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs that support production operations, equipment use, and manufacturing processes. Ensure compliance with all applicable OSHA and Cal/OSHA safety requirements. Conduct routine and formal EHS audits and inspections of production areas, equipment, processes, and work practices.Conducts accident investigations and implements corrective actions when appropriate. Assists all departments when incidents/accidents occur. Conducts root cause investigations and implements preventative measures when needed. Monitor daily production activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulatory standards. Partner with department teams to identify and mitigate operational hazards. Lead incident, near-miss, and injury investigations; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Support safe implementation of new equipment, processes, or production changes through risk assessments. Develop and deliver EHS training specific to continually improve safety program.Update training and coordinate with personnel. Meet weekly or monthly for safety aligned meetings. Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation required for regulatory compliance and audits. Lead and support regulatory inspections and audits, including OSHA and Cal/OSHA interactions. Promote a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement across all production shifts. Other duties as assigned.Ensures in-house First-Aid inventory is properly stocked. Coordinates with third party suppliers to procure safety supplies.Coordinate training for monthly safety topics, for GMP, SOP and SSOP updates and for job specific equipment, skill development or process training.Performs regular on-site inspections projects and active manufacturing areas. Safety concerns are documented in RedZone to remain audit ready.Observes workplace conditions and makes necessary recommendation for corrective actions regarding health and safety.Partners with other Health and Safety managers throughout the INW group to drive down recordable employee safety metrics such as the Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annuallyHours: 9:00am - 5:00pm M-FPosition QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Experience conducting production-focused EHS audits and inspections. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills.Able to understand, write and adhere to GMP, SOP and safe working practices.Able to lead Continuous Improvement projects.Able to work with other departments, supervisors and diverse language/cultural groups.Capable of working productively with little direct supervision.Must work in an organized fashion and have high attention to detail.Self-motivated.Education/ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (required). 3–5 years of professional EHS experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
