Job Title: Mohs Medical AssistantPosition Type: Full TimeTravel: Yes, this role requires regular travel to our Palm Harbor, Largo, and Brooksville locations.Position Summary: The Mohs Medical Assistant supports the Mohs Surgeon and Dermatologists in delivering high-quality patient care while contributing to efficient clinic operations and a positive patient experience. This role requires strong clinical skills, professionalism, adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical dermatology environment.Mohs Medical Assistants are expected to actively contribute to surgical workflow, maintain professionalism under pressure, communicate effectively with patients and coworkers, and support overall operational success. This position requires travel between assigned clinic locations in coordination with the Mohs Surgeon’s scheduleClinical & Administrative ResponsibilitiesAssist Mohs Surgeons with surgical procedures, sterile setup, and patient preparationPrepare and maintain sterile surgical fields, instruments, and procedure traysAssist with surgical closures, bandaging, suture removal, and wound care educationMaintain surgical, medication, and supply inventories and communicate ordering needs appropriatelyEducate patients on post-operative care instructions as directed by the ProviderCoordinate and transport necessary supplies, equipment, and materials between assigned clinic locations, as neededPrepare and maintain examination and treatment roomsAssist Providers with examinations, procedures, and treatmentsObtain and document patient medical history, vitals, and clinical information accurately within the EMRCollect, label, and process specimens appropriatelyPerform diagnostic testing, as applicablePrepare and administer medications as directed by Providers (excluding controlled substances)Process prescriptions and medication refill requests per Provider instructionsInitiate and process prior authorizations as assignedProcess incoming voicemails, messages, tasks, and faxes within expected timeframesMonitor expiration dates and properly discard expired medications or samplesMaintain infection control and aseptic technique standardsPerform routine equipment maintenance and maintain required logsAssist with cleaning, organization, and overall maintenance of clinical areasFollow OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA, and company compliance standards at all timesOperational ExpectationsMaintain active participation in clinic workflow throughout the workdaySupport efficient patient flow, room turnover, and Provider readiness while maintaining patient safety and high-quality care standardsDemonstrate awareness of overall clinic operations and
