Logistics & Warehouse Associate
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy Logistics & Warehouse Associate to manage the shipping, receiving, and inventory operations at our Bastrop plant. This role is essential to our daily flow, ensuring that raw materials are accurately staged for production and finished adhesive products are dispatched to our domestic customers and Canadian sister company. We need a proactive multitasker who is as comfortable using a Transportation Management System (TMS) and Excel as they are operating warehouse equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Shipping & Receiving: Physically receive raw materials and ship finished goods (totes, drums, and pallets). Inspect all incoming shipments for damage and verify counts against purchase orders.
Logistics & TMS Management: Coordinate domestic freight using our TMS; schedule carriers and ensure all shipping documentation (BOLs, Packing Slips) is error-free.
Cross-Border Coordination: Prepare necessary documentation for shipments to our Canadian sister company, ensuring compliance with transborder shipping requirements.
Inventory Control: Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy. Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile physical stock with digital records in Excel using standardized unit conversions (T1000, DR200, etc.).
Production Support: Work closely with the production team to ensure raw materials are available for upcoming runs and finished goods are properly labeled and jump in if the dock is slow and production needs help.
Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and "audit-ready" warehouse environment. Adhere to all safety protocols regarding industrial adhesives.
Required Qualifications
Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry and basic formulas) and experience with computer-based logistics systems (TMS/WMS).
Industrial Mathematics: Ability to perform quick conversions involving percentages, fractions, and decimals (e.g., calculating 0.90 of a T1000 tote or 1.42 pallets).
Multitasking Ability: Proven ability to handle a fast-paced environment—managing a truck at the dock, a ringing phone, and digital documentation simultaneously.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for interacting with domestic carriers and our team in Canada.
Forklift Mastery: Significant experience operating a forklift in a tight, fast-paced manufacturing environment (Certification required or provided upon hire).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The "Startup" Mentality: We are a growing plant. Must be willing to wear multiple hats—from dock manager to production helper.
