Job DescriptionPosition Title: Engineering Technician IIPosition Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting direct hire Engineering Technician II opportunity.Job Description:The Engineering Technician II is responsible for assisting in the development and execution of testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development and manufacturing.To be successful the Engineering Technician II must be capable of the following progressively complex instructions and test plans; understanding and executing data collection and analysis; and managing shifting priorities while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.Job Responsibilities:Promote and maintain a safe work environment by following all safety related policies and highlighting opportunities for improvementSupport Engineering in developing and executing test plansSupport Engineering by providing feedback on fixtures/tooling requirements for new products and existing productsSupport Engineering in the development and execution of Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s)Utilize data collection and statistical analysis methods as defined in test plans and root cause analysisSupport Manufacturing by problem solving when issues ariseAddress root cause and corrective action with teams when an issue is discovered either internally or externallyPerform other duties as assigned by management to support operational performance.Job Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalent required4-year degree or 5 years of progressive growth experience in a manufacturing environment preferredMust possess strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving skills with an extreme attention to detailAbility to follow complex instructions with limited supervision while also managing multiple priorities concurrentlyExcellent PC skillsAbility and basic knowledge in working with machine shop equipmentBasic experience in working with measurement equipment such as rulers, calipers, DMM, etc.Must be data driven and use data to drive root cause analysis and corrective actionJob Details:Job type: Direct HireLocation: Newberg, OR (Onsite).Salary Range: $65K-$85K.About Protingent: Protingent is an Award-Winning provider of top-tier Engineering and IT talent, trusted by companies at the forefront of innovation — from Software and Aerospace to AI, Clean Tech, Medical Devices, and Connected Technologies.
