Position Type:Speech and Language Pathology/Speech and Language PathologyDate Posted:2/3/2026Location:District 102 Administration CenterDate Available:02/09/2026Closing Date:Until FilledEEO StatementThe LaGrange School District 102 in accordance with federal laws, Presidential Executive Orders, and state and local laws provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, sex (including pregnancy, gender identity, and sexual orientation), parental status, national origin, age, disability, family medical history or genetic information, political affiliation, military service, or other non-merit based factors.LaGrange District 102 is committed to building and sustaining a multicultural school community that fosters equity, diversity and inclusion.Qualifications:Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL and endorsement appropriate to assignment)Previous experience teaching in the area of assignment within the last 4 years and/or coursework in the area of assignment within the last 3 years (or other equivalent experience/knowledge Superintendent determines will meet this qualification)Comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and skill in the content area/assignmentKnowledge and experience with Google suiteExcellent communication skillsResponsibilities:Screen the speech and language skills of new students, as well as those referred by teacher, parent, and physicianParticipate in annual district preschool screeningsSchedule and preside at necessary MDC and IEP meetings, including Annual ReviewsMaintain student records in accordance with state requirementsConduct speech and language case studies in order to determine eligibility for speech and language servicesComplete speech and language evaluations as part of a full Case Study Evaluation initiated by the Student Support TeamProvide direct speech and language services to students, and consultation to classroom teachers and parents regarding speech and language disabilities and their relationship to the classroomPreview, program, and plan the use of augmentative devices, as appropriateProvide in-class student assistance, or co-teaching, as appropriate to students' needs listed on the IEPServe as a resource for the SST and parents regarding community agencies for speech and language referralRecord and report delivered services and related time for Medicaid reimbursement purposesUtilize best practices for the application of assistive technology in line with student needs.Performs other tasks and projects as assigned by the Building AdministratorApplication Procedure
