Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounts Receivable SpecialistSalary Range: $65,000 $80,000 Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactiveAccounts Receivable (AR) Specialistto support their growing finance team. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing customer accounts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring timely collections. The AR Specialist will play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting overall accounting operations. Responsibilities: Process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner Monitor customer accounts and follow up on past-due balances Apply customer payments (ACH, wires, checks) and reconcile accounts Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and chargebacks Prepare aging reports and assist with cash forecasting Maintain accurate customer records and documentation Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, customer service) to resolve account issues Support month-end close activities, including AR reconciliations and reporting Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance AR efficiency Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 24+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience Strong understanding of AR processes, billing, and collections Experience with ERP/accounting systems; strong Excel skills Excellent communication and customer-service skills High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment Benefits: Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401(k) plan.
